SUMITOMO ELECTRIC Hartmetall GmbH has started a promotion for the SumiDrill GDX Series, indexable insert-type drills, which is effective until 30 June, 2026.
With this special offer, by ordering the corresponding minimum order quantity* of drill inserts, you can obtain the GDX drill body for just 1 euro (VAT will be charged separately).
Overview of GDX Series
Indexable insert-type drills offer economic advantages through reduced carbide consumption and excellent tool management, eliminating the need for regrinding. Their adoption is expanding across diverse industries, particularly the automotive sector, where demand continues to grow year after year. Furthermore, demand for deep hole drilling has recently increased for large machined components such as wind power generation parts.
Our SumiDrillTM GDX series of indexable insert-type drills includes models for deep hole drilling (L/D = 7). These drills enable stable machining of deep holes, stainless steel, and general structural rolled steel, which were traditionally challenging with conventional indexable insert-type drills.
